Unilab
Compound, Pasig City – Working closely with other non – surgical societies,
PSVES, thru the efforts of our president and as head of the Academic and CME
Committee, Dr. Ricardo Jose DT Quintos
II and Dr. Joy M. Gali sat in and participated in the
Philippine Society for Vascular Medicine workshop on Objective – Based Education at the Unilab Bayanihan Center, Pasig
City last April 21, 2018.
Dr.
Marilyn Villamor served as the speaker and facilitator of the
workshop where she spoke about Rubric Development. Along with key representatives of different
Vascular Medicine training programs in the Philippines and PSVES members of
Academic and CME Committee, Dr. Villamor facilitated the creation of a new set
of summative and formative evaluation forms on clinical skills, clinical
judgement and research.
Objective
– Based Education is an innovative educational experience where each
trainee or student should have achieved the specified outcomes. These initial efforts of the Society were
done in preparation to creation of standards for accrediting and overseeing
vascular and endovascular training programs in the country.
