Said to be one of the largest
gatherings of vascular specialists around the globe, it was considered as the
"Mecca" in management of vascular diseases. There were over 1,000 presentations delivered
by experts in the field of bio - engineering, pharmacology, radiology, vascular
and endovascular surgery, to name a few.
Each presentation which was packed with insights was delivered within a
5-minute time frame. The topics ranged
from new concepts about vascular disease, advanced and innovative ways of
diagnosing and managing them. The topic
about governing vascular surgery and its independent specialty was also
tackled. The
bigwigs of Vascular Surgery were there to attend the forum. This
included Dr. Frank Veith himself, Dr. Jose Parodi, Dr. Wesley Moore, to
name a few.
The successful five – day
symposium indeed provided a productive venue for exchange of ideas among its
participants. It indeed achieved its goal, "Connecting the Vascular Community."
