It was opened to
trainees in all vascular training programs. Ten brave souls took the first
In-Service Vascular and Endovascular Test (INVEST) given by the Committee of Academics and Education of
PSVES. The exam served as a valuable tool for the trainees in Vascular and
Endovascular Surgery. The results of the exam became their basis in knowing
where their knowledge stands in reference to the core curriculum of knowledge
in vascular phsyiology, pathology and disease management.
It started off as a
day where the examinees taking the test. Some 200-plus items, they encompassed
the knowledge any vascular and endovascular surgeon should know. Recognizing
the fact that feedback plays an important process in change or improvement of
behavior, a working lunch ensues, discussing answers, item per item. The
essential process of giving fast feed back to the examinees, by the examiners
facilitated super positive transfer of learning.
