1st INTER – HOSPITAL GRAND ROUNDS

Marco Polo Hotel, Pasig City - Last February 17, 2018, the 1^st Inter— Hospital Grand Rounds took place at the Marco Polo Hotel, Pasig City.  It was organized and hosted by the Makati Medical Center -   Department of Surgery, Section of Vascular Surgery.  Headed by Dr. Victor L. Gisbert,  the current Vice - President of PSVES. A case of a young female with aortic dissection was presented by Dr. Peter Posio, a General Surgery resident of MMC.  Discussion was moderated by Dr. Leo Carlo V. Baloloy.  Dr. Emmanuel San Pedro of The Medical City, Dr. Josefino L. Sanchez of the University of Santo Tomas Hospital and Dr. Leoncio L. Kaw of UP – Philippine General Hospital shared their expert opinion and experience in the management of an inflammatory, leaking thoracic aortic aneurysm with dissection in the young.

As expected, the activity appealed to young and the always—young vascular and non – vascular surgeons who still wanted to expand their knowledge in managing such case.  It was attended by vascular surgeons and trainees from the different hospitals namely:  Asian Hospital and Medical Center, Bautista Hospital, Cardinal Santos Medical Center, Lung Center of the Philippines, National Kidney and Transplant Institute, Pasig Doctors Medical Center, Philippine Heart Center, Quirino Memorial Medical Center, Rizal Medical Center, The Medical City – Ortigas, University of Santo Tomas Hospital, UP – Philippine General Hospital.
